Unfulfilled Desires

Moses said tot he Lord, "Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow in speech and tongue." Exodus 4:10 NIV.

The people of God are not the perfect people. They are not the most educated people. Or the smartest people. Because the power is not in the human being, The power is in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Brother Yun

I have long prayed for the Lord to allow me to share His message of love with a packed stadium—thirty thousand and up. I prayed this for years and hoped it would pass one day.

I have an issue. I desire Him to use me to reach souls. I taught, did outreach, and wrote books. Then, I traveled thousands of miles, going to dangerous and weird places to share His love and win souls. But I was disappointed when the results weren't what I thought they would be.

I concluded this might not happen. Jesus may not desire me to share in a stadium full of people. That might be for someone else who lives for Him. But in that disappointment, the Lord revealed something. The ministries, youth groups, led churches, hospital chaplaincies, and other shared opportunities increased. The classes taught, and outreaches would fill huge stadiums. It was just not all at once.

Some of the most powerful believers I met filled with His Spirit did not have seminary degrees. Or read a library of theological books. They could not define millennialism or dispensation. But the Lord used them to share His powerful Word.

Jesus desires to fulfill our desires and use us to bring souls into the kingdom. We need to be open to His leadership and direction. Then, whether we lead one or thousands to Him, we follow His will and are good servants in the end.

Lead us to share Your love, Lord. Strengthen us to be bold and teach Your Word. Give us opportunities to lead others into eternity. In Jesus’ name, amen.
