Time Shift

Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:5 NIV.

I am astonished at how many non-believers spend time angry at God and His people. I teach on a platform with many other Christians. Some individuals come to mock God during daily devotional time and Bible study. Then, I observe others' live broadcasts and notice them there, too. They shift around to mock and get angry about Jesus and His Word. They fight to debunk Christianity.

A believer could see this and believe they are wasting their lives. Yet, from a broader perspective, we acknowledge their future aspirations. Atheists, satanists, witches, and agnostics are all there thinking they are to mock and speak ill will. Their presence there is no coincidence. Seeds get sown in their souls.

If we are servants of the Highest God, there will be resistance. People will mock us. But they believe they are there to sway others when God has them there to experience His love. We must be prayerful and sow seeds of His Word as they come out. The Lord sends them to us; then we show Him through us. It could be time to shift their stance.

The next time we encounter someone who is combative to the Good News. Remember, they are there for a reason. God has a beautiful plan of redemption. We experience it daily. Lost souls, with little time remaining. They arrive and we have opportunities to witness their transformation, shifting them to the narrow kingdom path.

Lord, grant us opportunities to share Your Word with resistant people. Soften their hearts and open their ears. Let them see Your magnificent truths. We earnestly pray for their transformation, sowing seeds in their hearts and using us as instruments. In Jesus’ name, amen.
