Spew Bologna

Some people spew bologna. The boss in a secular job told us what an exceptional employee we are. Then requests we work the weekend shift. Salespeople resemble models and promote the benefits of products and services. Doctors, sales agents, and others butter us up.

There was a fictional character named Grima Wormtongue. He used his words to poison people. Then exploited their wealth and power. He manipulated and dictated their actions. With his words, he drained the life from leaders, embodying a demonic character.

Paul got accused in the verse above. Tertullus was a lawyer that spewed lies. We must pray for wisdom when we encounter mutterers like him.

We all have a bit of Grima Wormtongue in us. To whisper weakness into one’s ear instead of encouragement. Use lies or whatever it takes to direct the path of an individual. We can tear down and control others with the poison from their tongues.

Wormtongues need prayer. They believe they have control when they get dominated by satan. They steal, kill, and destroy like him. Beware of people who are insincere. Pray the Lord grants wisdom when we encounter them. That He saves those that get led astray with words.

Give us realization when we get buttered up, Lord. Let bologna fall off of us and have us see through falsities. Thank You, Lord, for Your excellent wisdom. In Jesus’ name, amen.
