Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them. Proverbs 26:27 NIV.
Occupy thyself with these things; be wholly in them, that thy progress may be manifest to all. 1 Timothy 4:15 TDT.
We live in a world of occupation. People desire to gain territory. Israel is a great example. It has no resources. It has no monetary value, yet people fight over it. That is because of spiritual value.
We have value too. The world also wants us to live occupied. It is a war for our territory and souls.
Two kingdoms exist in the world—both desire occupation of us. The dark one uses its soldiers. Demons waged war on the Kingdom of God. Their greatest strategy is pulling us in. The Bible's two evil words drive us towards misery or destruction. The one defines satan. Atheists, mockers, skeptics, and others fight. They occupy this dark kingdom in the fight against their Creator.
We exist in this world but not as a part of it. The people of Jesus pray and fight along with their King. The goal is to release occupations. To gain ground and take back souls.
We have won the war, but still have battles to fight. Unbelievers' souls are in the balance. This world will pass away. When we pray, the schemes of the demons will fire back on them. This territory is ours. We must pray the enemy surrender their treasures to God’s people. Then, we put it back into His Kingdom. We can occupy the land and pray to take it back.
Occupy this land and take souls back, Lord. Lead us to take back what is already Yours. May our enemies have no choice but to give them back. This is Your land, Lord! Turn us back to Your ways again. In Jesus’ name, amen.
