Heartless Atheism

ree

But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going because the darkness has blinded them. 1 John 2:11 NIV.

I did street ministry and ran into religions based on racism. They all shared the same perspective when I shared Jesus and equality. Someone from a group of people mistreated them. They developed prejudice against people of color or other factors due to one person. That mistreatment led them to view all individuals of that race as bad.

I found it is also a mentality among atheists on TikTok. Not all of them, but I found they get furious over Christian believers. They box all believers in the same category. I tell them it’s racism, but they struggle with it.

I tried to teach them this by talking about heartless atheism. Many of their comments said it’s stupid to use our hearts. It is an organ. That we only use brains and logic. I called them on that. They must’ve wooed their spouses with logic. They couldn’t love their children because they didn’t use their hearts. It was logical to get married or have kids. That they deducted procreation was a logical conclusion because they had no hearts.

That is not how I think. The atheists and evolutionists who commented on Bible study dehumanized and degraded me. It's wrong to assume all atheists are like famous figures such as Marx and Hitler. Some of them treated me like that. I have friends and people I love who are atheists. Their logic pointed to a heartless world. They are not all that way.

Not all believers are out for money. They do not intend to use religion for control. It bothers me when people comment on this. We won't go to their houses and force them to believe like the Crusades.

Whether people know Jesus or not, we cannot box them all together. We should focus on the heart regardless of their atheistic beliefs.

Let us see the hearts and beauty in everyone, Lord. Lead us to share Your love with everyone and not categorize people. In Jesus’ name, amen.
