Happy Tammuz Day!

ree

The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon, the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. 6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished. Revelation 17:4-6.

Happy Tammuz Day. Some of us refer to it as Valentine’s Day. However, it has a Biblical history.

Initially, people worshiped only the Lord. Then Nimrod and his wife Semiramis built the tower of Babel. It got dedicated to their son Tammuz. He got gored by a boar and died. Then civilizations made him Baal, Ishtar, Eros, and Cupid. The establishment of false faiths today started in Babel. All untrue religions contrary to Jesus and Christianity stem from Babel.

John the Apostle saw a vision in the verses above. The sight of the woman of Babylon left him stunned. The Antichrist will seize power through false religious systems originating from Babel. Those contrary to Jesus, including the progressive faiths that claim to be followers of Christ. They all stem from destroying that tower.

The Cupid of Valentine’s Day came from Tammuz and other belief systems. Hundreds of religions and genders. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate, broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14 NIV.

The (majority) shall journey the broad path. I hope we all find the correct path to heaven. The one way through Jesus. This Valentine’s Day, please place your faith and hope in Jesus. Every other approach leads to a shocking ending.

Lead hearts and souls to You, Lord. Rescue them away from false religions and progressive ideals. Save them from themselves. Give them every opportunity to repent and proclaim You as Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
