Evil Piggybacks

ree

For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and robust. They are free from common human burdens; human ills do not plague them. Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; their evil imaginations have no limits. Psalm 73:3-6 NIV.

The Lord woke me up at 3 am several nights over the past few weeks. He wanted me to pray for wicked people. They are never in short supply in our lives. Evil people love to piggyback on our successes or take advantage of the righteous.

Wicked people can cause a whirlwind in our lives, distracting us from the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us. Right now, my wife and I are experiencing the Lord's favor, as He paves our path in His kingdom, a truly awe-inspiring journey. However, the enemy often uses these wicked individuals to steal our joy, leading us astray from our spiritual focus.

It is easy to get mad at bullies and baddies when that happens. To lose sleep and get concerned about them. We must confront them with love. Even our worst enemies don’t deserve to get separated from Jesus forever.

The issue is more profound than the physical. Their souls are on the line. I now believe the Lord connects us with bullies so we can pray for them. They must learn their lessons before facing God in eternity. We must also confront them. When cells become self-absorbed, they become cancer. Then eat away other healthy ones. Sin always affects everyone when in the body. If they hurt us, they can do evil to others. They need to be warned of the paths they follow. If they do not listen, then we must disconnect from them. They can turn away from the enemy's path.

We pray for our enemies today, Lord. Lead them away from their evil plots and schemes. Open their eyes and hearts to Your truth. Let them understand the errors of their ways. In Jesus’ name, amen.
