My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 NIV.

I recently bought a new truck, which I kept a basic build because I wanted to do the mods. Then, I could add what I wanted to the truck and make it mine. It was also more expensive for the dealership to do it.

Believers in Biblical times lacked but had it all. They were in an environment where they had to believe Jesus loved them, though every circumstance around them contradicted it. There was persecution and devastation. Our warfare here is one of devotion and loyalty. We divide our devotion among many things. So many things overwhelm us and bombard our senses. It was warfare then and now.

People argue about politics, culture, and other physical issues, and we come proclaiming Jesus's death on the cross and resurrection—that He is returning. These become precious to us but look foolish in our culture. The power of God to save transforms us, but in the physical, it seems silly.

People believe that the Good News needs modifications and that we should exceed its status. Paul even did that in Athens. Then he realized in Corinth that it was about the verse above. We speak the life of the Gospel, and God does with it what He desires in His power. Nothing can be added or removed from it.

We must remember the power of His Word. It can transform and change lives. The Word cuts to dividing soul and spirit, joints, and marrow. We should never change or dilute His message. The resurrection message is everything.

Let us always trust in Your power, Lord. May we never compromise the most significant message. Give us strength in any problematic situation to share Your love; in Jesus’ name, amen.
