And surely I am with you always, at the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20 B NIV.
I learned about the term "I got your 6" when I was in the fire department. It is a phrase that came from airplane pilots, military personnel, police, and first responders. It assures someone we are looking out for their backs. Pilots refer to directions around themselves like a clock, and the back becomes 6 o’clock.
Life's twists and turns may not always align with our plans. We can always find solace in Jesus's unwavering support. His intervention often comes when we least expect it, usually at the eleventh hour. This is because, like a trusted partner, He always has our backs, ensuring our safety and well-being.
No matter how bad it is, God has our backs. When going into a fire, we were trained never to leave our partner’s side. It was drilled into us to watch our partner's back constantly. It was an essential factor. We worked as a team. If something terrible happened, we handled it as a team. If we couldn’t leave, we didn’t go together.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We work as a team. When a dilemma arises, we surrender. Jesus works with us to accomplish the goal. He is there for us whenever something happens. We will depart this world, and He will provide us with strength. Take comfort in knowing Jesus always has our backs.
Thank You, Lord, for always having our six. Your presence is a constant in every situation, a reassuring presence ready to stand by our side. In Jesus’ name, we find comfort and strength. Amen.
